Gorakshep to Periche

After quite an adventurous day yesterday, we have a massive push to get to lower altitude and retrieve our evac'd team member.

Half of the crew woke up early at 4:30am to sUmmit Kala patthar (translates to black rock- 18,373ft) And half of us stayed back… i was sadly in the latter as a migraine decided it was time to make an appearance, better now than on the way up. Once everyone was back together in the teahouse we packed up and started our decent. This day was incredibly cold and most of our trek took us through the valley, blocking all the sun. 🥶

After our crew acquired a few tumbles, resulting in a split thumb and a few cracked nails. we made it to Periche!

Highlight of the day was when everyone ordered veggie burgers and a slight variation by one member to the order resulted in a plain uncut bun being plated as a main dish.
