GOOOODMOOORNINNG NEPAL!
It is a balmy 25⁰F and time to hit the trail. There was no messing around with elevation gain today, and layers started dropping immediately despite the cold temps.
After a few hours on the trail, we stopped for lunch where we had thukpa stew! A delicious noodle soup that was a welcome change to all the rice we’ve had. 😂
Back to the trail! Next stop: Tyangboche.
This village is home to an important Buddhist monastery, Tengboche Monastery, which is the largest gompa in the Khumbu region (built in 1923). Buuuut the real priority was the bakery where I snagged a cinnamon roll and cookies to share with the crew.
After a quick walk downhill from the monastery, we made it to our home for the night, Deboche. Here we have to pay for internet and power, and there is only one sink (at least that I found). Everyone is once again EXHUASTED, and we have another early morning. ✌️
